
SIG - Wireless Networks
Computer Society of India (CSI) has implemented the concept of "Special Interest Groups (SIG)" to promote activities and research in few focused areas. So, Special Interest Group on Wireless Networks (WNs) has been formed accordingly.
The basic objective of the SIG on Wireless Networks (WNs) is dedicated to address the challenges in the areas of wireless networks. The SIG looks for significant contributions to the Wireless computing in theoretical and practical aspects. The Wireless computing domain emerges from the integration among personal computing, networks, communication technologies, cellular technology, multimedia communication and the Internet Technology. The modern applications are emerging in the area of adhoc networks and sensor networks. This SIG intended to cover contributions in both the design and analysis in the context of wireless, mobile, ad hoc, and sensor networks.
The Computer Society of India (CSI) is the largest association of information technology professionals in India. Formed in 1965, the CSI has been instrumental in guiding the Indian IT industry down the right path since its formative years. Today, the CSI has 69 chapters all over India, 358 student branches, and more than 70000 members including India's most famous IT industry leaders, brilliant scientists and dedicated academicians.
